A busy day for ParkHer.
ByChristmas functions have begun and I had to attend a Christmas lunch and performance event in Brisbane for a family member which had a 10am start. That would entail an early departure from home and My chauffeur was instructed to collect Me at 8.30 this morning. As the amount of traffic W/we were likely to encounter was an unknown, it was better to be early than running late… I abhor being late.
ParkHer turned up on the dot and with a brief stop on the way before W/we hit the motorway to grab a coffee, the drive was smooth, fast and without delay. My chauffeur was told to return by 2pm when the lunch was scheduled to finish.
The performance was most entertaining and the lunch was yummy and the rain started bucketing down! Then the lunch seemed to be finishing much earlier than anticipated so I quickly sent My chauffeur an SMS informing him that I was now to be collected 35 minutes earlier than originally arranged. With the wet weather persisting, I was hoping that ParkHer would not be unnecessarily delayed due to inclement weather. As it turned out, amazingly he arrived on time at 1.25pm. The return drive to collect Me was horrendously slow and I was forewarned to not expect a fast trip home.
There is not much you can do in slow traffic and I was most thankful that I was not the one driving. My iPhone kept Me entertained for the hour and twenty minute trip home which should only have been a 50 minute drive!
The joys of being My chauffeur, and the unpredictable nature of sub-tropical summer weather and heavy traffic!
